Last Saturday, the Del Mar Village Association hosted a beach cleanup at 1700 coast blvd from 9:30-11am. The event is held every 3 months and is where volunteers come to pick up trash on Del Mar beach and receive pancakes after. The event was started to help keep the beach, ocean, and Del Mar clean. Once you finish cleaning the beach, you can pick from an assortment of food and drinks to pay off for your hard work. The DMVA is a non-profit that helps small local businesses thrive. Keeping a clean environment can also help increase tourism. If you would like to attend the next beach cleanup, sign up at the DMVA’s website, visitdelmarvillage.com.
